Conditions Imposed under 5(12) of the Ordinance for Permission
to Apply Directly for Environmental Permit



1. The future Environmental Permit shall include a specific condition NOT ALLOWING the two converted Gas Turbines (GT5 & GT7) to operate concurrently with the existing Gas Turbine GT6, unless the Applicant can submit detailed calculations to the satisfaction of the Director, prior to application for the Environmental Permit to demonstrate that the air quality impacts arising from this scenario can be adequately mitigated to compile with the EIAO-TM criteria;

2. The Applicant shall submit information to the satisfaction of the Director, prior to application for Environmental Permit, regarding the plume size of the thermal and residual chlorine discharge after the conversion; and to propose the necessary precautionary measures; and

3. All measures described in the Project Profile submitted with your application of 29 June 2000, together with the above conditions and the required measures to be proposed to the Director shall be fully implemented.

Note
Under section 17 of the EIA Ordinance, the applicant may appeal to the Appeal Board against any of the above conditions within 30 days of receipt of this notice of the Director's decision.
