Application for Permission to Apply Directly for an Environmental Permit

Project Title: Drainage Improvement Works in Upper Tai Po River

 

Conditions Imposed under Section 5(12) of the EIA Ordinance

For Permission to Apply Directly for Environmental Permit

 

 

1.      All measures described in the Project Profile submitted by the Applicant on 9 June 2005 shall be fully implemented.

 

2.      Percussive piling shall not be used for carrying out the project.

 

3.      A detailed vibration monitoring program for the Fan Sin Temple and Remains of Wun Yiu Pottery Kiln shall be submitted to the Director for approval at least three months before commencement of construction.

4.      A landscape plan with details of trees within the project works area to be retained, felled transplanted and compensated during project implementation shall be submitted to the Director for approval at least three months before commencement of construction.

  

Note

Under Section 17 of the EIA Ordinance, the applicant may appeal to the Appeal Board against any of the above conditions within 30 days of the receipt of this notice of the Director’s decision.
