Application for Permission to Apply Directly for Environmental Permit

Project Title : Proposed Temporary Bus Depot at Hing Wah Street West, West Kowloon Reclamation

 

 

Conditions Imposed under Section 5(12) of the Ordinance

for Permission to Apply Directly for Environmental Permit

 

 

 

 

1.          All measures described in the Project Profile submitted by the applicant on 11 January 2006 shall be fully implemented. 

 

2.          The operation of the Temporary Bus Depot at the Project site shall cease by the end of November 2009 or before the occupation of the residential CDA Site (Site 6) as shown in the attached Figure 1, whichever is the earlier date.  The applicant shall seek the Director’s prior agreement for any extension of time thereafter for the continual operation of the temporary bus depot at the Project site.

 

3.          The applicant shall provide landscape enhancement tree planting along the entire perimeter of the Project site.

 

4.          All outdoor lights for the illumination of the Project site shall be fully shielded so that light rays emitted by the fixture are projected below the horizontal plane passing through the lowest point on the fixture from which light is emitted.  Shielding structures such as baffles, louvers, shades, cowl or skirt shall be considered for use to reduce illumination as far as practicable.

 

 

 

Note:

Under section 17 of the EIA Ordinance, the applicant may appeal to the Appeal Board against the above conditions within 30 days of the receipt of this notice of the Director’s decision.
