Application for Permission to Apply Directly for Environmental Permit

Project Title : Proposed Installation of Integrated Mobile Phone Base Station Nearby Fan Lau Country Trail, South Lantau Country Park, Lantau Island, New Territories

 

Conditions Imposed under Section 5(12) of the EIA Ordinance

for Permission to Apply Directly for Environmental Permit

 

1.      All measures described in the Project Profile (No. PP-400/2009) submitted by the Applicant on 2 November 2009 shall be fully implemented;

 

2.      No tree shall be felled for the Project;

 

3.      Additional visual and landscape mitigation measures, including screen planting, harmonious colour treatment of the equipment platform and shelter, and proper reinstatement of all temporarily affected works area with turfing and vegetation, shall be implemented for the Project. Landscape plans and photomontages showing the visual and landscape mitigation measures shall be submitted before construction of the Project; and

 

4.      All waste, spoil and excavated material, etc. generated by the Project shall be properly managed and shall not be dumped in any environmental sensitive areas such as country park, site of special scientific interest, coastal area and beach.

 

 

 

Note

Under Section 17 of the EIA Ordinance, the Applicant may appeal to the Appeal Board against any of the above conditions within 30 days of the receipt of this notice of the Director’s decision.
