# ASR within 500 m boundary of the
WDII development area to be considered in this EIA Study.
WDII (CWB entrusted work)
and WDII (non-CWB entrusted work), managed by TDD
strictly limit the truck
speed on site to below 10 km per hour and water spraying to keep the haul roads
in wet condition. This will reduce the dust
generation by about 90%, in accordance with Control
Techniques for Particulate Emissions from Stationary Sources, Volume 2, US
Environmental Protection Agency 1982;
twice daily watering of the work
site with active operations when the weather and the work site are dry. Through the implementation of this mitigation
measure, dust emissions from materials handling can be reduced by 50%,
according to USEPA AP-42;
water spraying during
excavation and material handling; this can reduce the emission by 85%;
provision of vehicle wheel
and body washing facilities at the exit points of the site, combined with
cleaning of public roads where necessary; and
tarpaulin covering of all
dusty vehicle loads transported to, from and between site locations.
In addition, the following mitigation measures
proposed in CRIII and CWB & IECL projects are assumed to be implemented by
all relevant parties.
CRIII (CWB entrusted
work) and CRIII (non-CWB entrusted work), managed by TDD
strictly limit the truck
speed on site to below 10 km per hour and water spraying to keep the haul roads
in wet condition;
twice daily watering of the
work site with active operations when the weather and the work site are dry;
watering during excavation
and material handling;
·
provision of vehicle wheel
and body washing facilities at the exit points of the site, combined with
cleaning of public roads where necessary; and
·
tarpaulin covering of all
dusty vehicle loads transported to, from and between site locations.
CWB & IECL projects
(excluding works entrusted to TDD), managed by HyD
strictly limit the truck
speed on site to below 10 km per hour and water spraying to keep the haul roads
in wet condition;
twice daily watering of the
work site with active operations when the weather and the work site are dry;
watering during excavation
and material handling;
provision of vehicle wheel
and body washing facilities at the exit points of the site, combined with
cleaning of public roads where necessary; and
tarpaulin covering of all
dusty vehicle loads transported to, from and between site locations.
