5. OVERALL CONCLUSIONS

The EIA has critically assessed various environmental issues of concern for this project. Environmental mitigation measures, where considered necessary during construction and operational phases of the project, are recommended.
Findings of the EIA showed that, with the implementation of the recommended environmental mitigation measures, this project would comply with all relevant environmental standards and legislation. No insurmountable environmental impact is expected during the construction and operational phases of the project.
To further ensure compliance with the recommendations in the EIA Report, the environmental monitoring and audit requirements during both construction and operational stages of the project have been specified in the EM&A Manual.
