Clinical Waste Electronic Consignment System

Environmental Protection Department has implemented a Clinical Waste Electronic Consignment System (the System) progressively. The System captures waste consignment data from clinical waste producers, collectors and disposal facilities through smart cards and a tailor-made mobile application. Data can then be fed into the System for real-time monitoring.

All clinical waste producer with a valid Premise Code will receive a waste producer smart card. Simply show the smart card to the collectors during clinical waste collection and the whole process can complete in seconds.
Producers can login the System to view and download the real-time trip ticket records. Collectors and disposal sites can also generate different consignment reports to suit their needs.

Advantages of the System:

  1. Enhance real-time tracing of clinical waste consignment from cradle to grave;
  2. Detect non-conformance of clinical waste collection more readily; and
  3. Minimize human error by automatic data synchronization.
