Open Meetings

The following sessions of the ACE and EIA Subcommittee meetings will be opened to the public –

(a)	Presentation Session and Question-and-Answer Session of a discussion item on EIA report at the EIA Subcommittee meeting requiring the attendance of the project proponent team; and
(b)	Presentation Session and Question-and-Answer Session of a discussion item of the ACE meeting when the ACE discusses the report submitted by the EIA Subcommittee on EIA report requiring the attendance of the project proponent team.

The opening up of the above sessions is an administrative arrangement only and not a statutory requirement.  The open meeting arrangements are not applicable to internal discussion sessions of a discussion item on EIA report and all other sessions of the meetings of the ACE and its Subcommittees (including EIA Subcommittee, Nature Conservation Subcommittee and Waste Management Subcommittee).

Seat Reservation

As seating capacity of the Public Viewing Room is limited, seats will be allocated through advance booking on a first-come-first-served basis.  Each person may reserve a maximum of two seats.  Reservation could be made after the issue of the agenda.  The booking should be made at least one working day before the meeting by –

(a)	telephone (2594 6326) during office hours; or
(b)	completing and returning the registration form by fax (2872 0603) to the Council Secretariat.
