Environmental
Policy Working Group
In March 1999, community groups, business groups, legislators, environmental
NGOs and academics were invited to attend two forums at which the
environmental challenges facing Hong Kong were presented, and those
attending were asked to consider the objectives that should be set
for the quality of Hong Kong environment. To take forward the discussion,
four working groups were set up. The working groups will discuss,
and recommend to the Government what environmental objectives and
policy options could be considered for adoption in the 21st century.
