Reduction of Electricity Consumption

  • Switching off air-conditioning, lights and equipment in office sections not in operation
  • Reduce number of fluorescent tubes / lights in back of house, lobbies and guest corridors
  • Replaced halogen lights and exit lights by LED lights
  • Use T5 fluorescent tubes, energy saving light bulbs and electronic ballast
  • Implemented different day/night mode light setting in order to reduce electricity
  • Installed movement infrared sensors to switch on / off lights in guest laundries
  • Suspended service of selected lifts during night time
  • Installed 100 sets of Solar panel (200 sq. meter) to harness solar energy and reduce CO2 emission by 68 tones per year
  • Replaced Town Gas Boilers by Heat Pump System
  • Establish office light zoning system to eliminate waste when not in use

Reuse and Recycle

  • Implemented source separation of waste in all guest rooms
  • Donation of kitchen utensil, chinaware, table ware, electric appliances and bedding to charity
  • Recycling of glass bottles, aluminum cans, paper, printer cartridge, plastic, rechargeable batteries, energy saving light bulbs and fluorescent lights

Reduction of Paper Consumption

Reduction of Water Consumption

  • Installed water limiter in water taps and shower heads

  • Use of ball pen refills, instead of replacing with a new ball pen
  • Use of recycled paper for stationary and printing collaterals
