SECTION 1 INTRODUCTION
| This document forms the executive summary of the Environmental Baseline Report which is submitted as part of the Study on Sustainable Development for the Century in Hong Kong (SUSDEV 21). The report documents the characteristics and trends in the baseline environment, to provide essential environmental and ecological baseline information for the assessment of environmental sustainability. It also provides background information that can help users of the decision support tool (being developed under the study) to gain an understanding of the environmental conditions in Hong Kong. |
