Redevelopment
of Sau Mau Ping Estate - Phase 9
This
was a redevelopment project for Sau Mau Ping Estate including
the construction of three 41-storey and one 21-storey buildings.
Environmental Concern
The
site was in Sau Mau Ping with many residential blocks in the
vicinity. With the short distance of the occupied premises
next to the construction works; dust arising from the building
of superstructure, had became major focus of nuisance generated.
Measures Adopted
Dust
Cover - Enclosing the refuse chute and the skip hoist
to prevent the emission of dust during the transportation
of dusty material to and from the upper floors.

enclosure of debris chute and skip hoist had effectively
prevented the emission of dust during the transportation
of dusty material. |

Observations
& Achievements
The
refuse store and skip that connected with the refuse chute
were fully enclosed. As a result, no significant amount of
dust was emitted.
