Letter to the Editor of SCMP - Response to a letter on public forum on AQO Review

I write in response to the letter headlined "Top official's indecent haste" on 23 March 2009 by Mr. Lim Kwok-zu.

The public forum was an event held by the consultant as part of the process for conducting the review of the Air Quality Objectives (AQOs). Its main objective was for the consultant to solicit views from the public on the initial findings of the review before finalizing his recommendations for submission to the Government. Ms. Anissa Wong had stayed at the forum for most of its time until she left to deal with other official commitment. During her stay, she had exchanged views with a number of participants.
