A vision of green living for the future was on display in Hong Kong in 2002, at the purpose-built Integer building. The temporary structure featured water and energy-saving devices, environmentally-friendly decoration materials and many other green features. Integer was used as an events venue and promoted to the public by the EPD. The department held an exhibition there in July on 25 years of environmental protection in Hong Kong, as well as numerous training workshops for community groups. Integer was built with funding from developers and other organisations. The Environment and Conservation Fund also provided funding for an education software package and educational leaflets on the building.
