The list of prescribed products (Product List) is issued for information and reference by the public and retail trade. It contains items of goods that are classifiable as prescribed products under the environmental levy scheme on plastic shopping bags. Should there be any discrepancy, the definition of prescribed products as stated in Schedule 4 of the Product Eco-responsibility Ordinance (Cap. 603) shall prevail in determining what constitutes a prescribed product. Readers are reminded that the Product List is not exhaustive and that items of goods that are not on the Product List but fall within the definition of the Ordinance shall be considered as prescribed products. The Product List will be updated from time to time to match with market situation.
