| After reducing the potential safety and health risks of the closed landfills imposed on surrounding areas by restoration, the restored closed landfills could be turned into beneficial use for the public. The Golf Driving Range on the Restored Shuen Wan Landfill at Ting Kok Road, Tai Po is the first landfill afteruse for the public. |

The Driving Range

Closed in 1995 and restored in 1997, Shuen Wan Landfill has been landscaped and converted into a golf driving range for the use by the general public since April 1999.
Tai Po Shuen Wan Temporary Golf Driving Range is situated at Ting Kok Road, Shuen Wan Landfill adjacent to the Tai Po East Fire Station.

By Kowloon Motor Bus No. 74K, 75K or Maxicab No. 20K from Tai Po Market KCRC Station.

The Driving Range provides the following facilities for users:
* 145 driving bays;
* Par 3 hole;
* Sand bunkers;
* Practice green area;
* a Pro Shop;
* car parking spaces; and
* changing rooms.
