Conclusion

Impact assessment indicates that the potential to identify impacted in situ archaeological deposits is very low. However, the chance of discovery of low significance secondary deposits cannot be ruled out. It is therefore recommended that the construction contractor should take into account the requirement of the Antiquities and Monuments Ordinance during soil excavation works in construction stage. In case archaeological deposits are unearthed during excavation works, the project proponent should inform AMO for inspection immediately.
