Application for Permission to Apply Directly for Environmental Permit

Project Title : Stream Improvement at Ta Kwu Ling

Associated with the Resite of Chuk Yuen Village

 

Conditions Imposed under Section 5(12) of the EIA Ordinance

for Permission to Apply Directly for Environmental Permit

 

 

1.      All measures as described in the Project Profile (No. PP-404/2009) submitted with the application on 26 November 2009 shall be fully implemented.

 

2.      Ecological enhancement measures such as additional vegetation along channel embankment, use of gabions and geo-fabric reinforced grass lining to stabilize side slopes, unlined channel beds to enable colonization of flora and fauna as well as unlined embankment to facilitate vegetation shall be implemented for the Project. An ecological enhancement plan showing details of the measures to be implemented shall be submitted to Director of Environmental Protection for approval before construction work commences.

 

3.      Landscape measures taking into account the recommendations of the Project Profile shall be implemented for the Project. A landscape plan showing details of the measures to be implemented shall be submitted to Director of Environmental Protection for approval before construction work commences.

 

4.      Construction works of the Project shall be carried out during the dry season from November to March inclusive.

 

 

Note

Under Section 17 of the EIA Ordinance, the Applicant may appeal to the Appeal Board against any of the above conditions within 30 days of the receipt of this notice of the Director’s decision.
