Application for Permission to Apply Directly for Environmental Permit

Project Title : 10-Year Extended Landslip Preventive Measures (LPM) Project,

Phase 3, Package D, Outlying Islands

Location: Along Keung Shan Road, Lantau (Feature No. 13NW-B/C319)

 

Conditions Imposed under Section 5(12) of the Ordinance

for Permission to Apply Directly for Environmental Permit

 

1.      All measures described in the Project Profile submitted by the Applicant on 22 September 2004, together with those requirements mentioned in the following conditions, shall be fully implemented.

 

2.      A detailed Landscape Proposal with sufficient quantity of plants and justification for the use of particular plant species shall be submitted for approval. The Landscape Proposal shall contain the following information:

(a)        proposed slope treatment, including consideration of (i) sprayed concrete with colour paint; (ii) masonry finish for the slope; (iii) planting of hardy tree species instead of climbers on planter holes; (iv) more tree planting along the whole slope toe; (v) berm planting; and (vi) tree preservation

(b)       quantity of plants to be planted

(c)        justification for the use of particular plant

(d)       the design, works area and construction method of soil nails installation

(e)        overall implementation of landscape and visual mitigation measures.

 

Note

Under Section 17 of the EIA Ordinance, the Applicant may appeal to the Appeal Board against any of the above conditions within 30 days of the receipt of this notice of the Director’s decision.
