Application for Permission to Apply Directly for Environmental Permit

Project Title : Proposed Installation of Mobile Base Station at Ling Kok Shan

(832325.6E, 807311.4N), Lamma Island, New Territories

 

Conditions Imposed under Section 5(12) of the EIA Ordinance

for Permission to Apply Directly for Environmental Permit

 

1.      All measures described in the Project Profile (No. PP-415/2010) submitted by the Applicant on 13 July 2010 shall be fully implemented;

 

2.      Screen planting of the proposed mobile base station, for minimizing visual impact on hikers using the nearby trail at Ling Kok Shan, shall be implemented; and

 

3.      Environmental monitoring and audit shall be carried out during construction of the Project to monitor and audit the proper implementation of all mitigation measures specified in the Project Profile including, amongst others, the screen planting of the proposed mobile base station and protective measures for the rare plant species Artocarpus Hypargyreus.  Competent person(s) shall be engaged to supervise the proper implementation of the mitigation measures and to carry out regular environmental audit with frequency of not less than once per week. Monthly environmental audit report shall be submitted to the Director.

 

 

Note

Under Section 17 of the EIA Ordinance, the Applicant may appeal to the Appeal Board against any of the above conditions within 30 days of the receipt of this notice of the Director’s decision.
