Application for Permission to Apply Directly for Environmental Permit

Project Title: Installation of the Proposed 132kV Cable Circuit Connecting with Ting Lai Road Substation and Pak Shek Kok Substation

(Application No. DIR - 203/2010)

 

Conditions Imposed under Section 5(12) of the EIA Ordinance

for Permission to Apply Directly for Environmental Permit

 

1.      All measures described in the Project Profile (No. PP-417/2010) submitted by the applicant on 16 July 2010 shall be fully implemented.

 

2.      No-dig pipe jacking method shall be used for construction of the underwater cable duct within the Conservation Area to avoid ecological and water quality impact.

 

3.      A landscape plan including details of tree preservation proposal and compensatory planting scheme to be implemented for the Project within the Conservation Area shall be submitted to Director for approval prior to the commencement of works.

 

4.      An independent checker shall be employed to audit the implementation of all mitigation measures recommended in the Project Profile and to confirm in writing in the monthly audit report full implementation of the mitigation measures.

 

Note

Under Section 17 of the EIA Ordinance, the Applicant may appeal to the Appeal Board against any of the above conditions within 30 days of the receipt of this notice of the Director’s decision.
