(d) Shallow but wide section is proposed for the Luk Tei Tong (2) River. The proposed river channel is only 0.8m deep to avoid drawing down the ground water table of Luk Tei Tong Marsh. In addition, 200mm high embankment will be constructed at both sides of the river banks to avoid surface runoff flowing to the proposed river. (e) Gabion blocks will be provided at the outlets to enhance the ecological environmental wherever the space is adequate.
