Clean Shorelines Slogan Competition

To promote awareness of keeping the shorelines clean among the younger generation, a Clean Shoreline Slogan Competition was launched on 13 March 2013 to invite primary and secondary school students to create slogans with the following key messages of the publicity campaign:

  • To use reusable items while spending time at the coast, reducing the use of disposable items.
  • To take away one’s rubbish, dispose properly or recycle.

The competition was closed on 26 April 2013. The response was overwhelming, with more than 6 700 entries coming in from 107 participating schools.

The competition was divided into four groups with a Chinese and an English section for both primary and secondary schools. The adjudicating panel comprises members of the WG. The three winning slogans in each group will be awarded with certificates and book coupons.
