On 20 September 2018, the Working Group held an engagement
session to exchange views with community groups and public on
issues regarding keeping the shorelines clean at the Duke of
Windsor Social Service Building in Wan Chai.
The
engagement session was hosted by Mr Donald Tong, Permanent
Secretary for the Environment and Chairperson of the Working
Group, with the attendance of representatives of the Working
Group’s member departments. The engagement session started with
a presentation by Working Group representative on our actions
and strategies on keeping the shorelines clean. This was
followed by an open floor discussion for attendees to exchange
their views with Government representatives. Valuable views and
suggestions on our efforts in keeping the shorelines clean and
tackling marine refuse were gathered at the meeting.
