We need contribution from you who are passionate about keeping our shorelines clean.
Reporting Pollution
It is disgusting to run into broken glass or cigarette butts while on the beach. Refuse adrift on our coastal waters is also an eyesore. You can help with these few simple steps:
-
Cleanup
Don’t leave your rubbish on our shores and always clean it up. You can also help collect any refuse you find on our shores. -
Report Pollution
If you sight any accumulation of marine refuse or other marine pollution, you can report the incident to us through the government hotline 1823 or visit the website at http://www.1823.gov.hk.
Several government departments are responsible for arranging cleanup of the affected areas. Besides 1823, you can contact the responsible department by phone, fax, post or email (see Contact Us). You may also download the pollution reporting proforma and send it to the responsible department direct.
