Environmental Compliance Promotion Programme

Introduction
The Environmental Compliance Promotion Programme aimed to promote awareness of compliance with environmental legislation and to facilitate achieving or even going beyond compliance by providing practical approaches to tackle the pollution problems. It comprised generic seminars and thematic workshops for the restaurant trade and some specific trades.

 

22 Jan 2010 Environmental Workshop for Generic Trades
The workshop was designed for all generic trades with focus on technical measures for better pollution control and operational efficiency. It was held at the Exhibition Hall, 4/F., Hong Kong Productivity Council Building, Kowloon Tong.

The workshop was trade-specific and targeted at the trade operators of the Textile & Clothing Industry. It aimed to save cost and energy and improve operational performance by providing practical approaches to resolve the trade/industries' problems. It was held at the Lecture Theatre, 1/F., Hong Kong Productivity Council Building, Kowloon Tong.

A series of 5 workshops for the restaurant trade was held on 14 May, 19 May, 11 Jun, 22 Jun & 9 Jul 2009 respectively. Speakers from various trade associations and related organizations shared their successful experiences and practical tips in implementing environmental management and green measures. These workshops totally attracted some 430 participants.
