Control on Import and Export of Waste
Enforcement Figures
A total of 29 shipments of controlled waste were intercepted in 2025 as imported into Hong Kong without prior notification to the EPD. These waste shipments included:
| i) | 5 shipments from Asia; |
| ii) | 17 shipments from North America; |
| iii) | 1 shipment from South America; |
| iv) | 4 shipments from Europe; and |
| v) | 2 shipments from Oceania |
All waste concerned had been returned to the corresponding states of export.
