Treatment of Wastes

Collect wastes with recycle values

Defective car batteries

  • Store waste batteries properly and then contact waste collector for recycling

  • Do not pour away battery solution improperly

Waste Tyre

  • Liaise with waste tyre collectors for recycling

  • Do not dispose of waste tyres at will nor burn them

Scrap iron and other metals

  • Liaise with scrap metal collectors for recycling

Collection and Disposal of Waste Lubricating Oil, Coolants, Refrigerants and other Chemical Waste

Chemical Waste

  • Register as Chemical Waste Producers with the Environmental Protection Department (Registration Form). User proper containers to store chemical wastes, affix suitable labels on the containers, store in chemical waste storage cabinet, hire licensed chemical waste collectors to collect the chemical wastes

  • Treat containers, parts and other items contaminated with chemicals or lubricating oil as chemical wastes and handle them properly

  • To ease recycling, kerosene or cleansing agents for parts should be separately collected

  • Use absorbent cloths and cleaning rags properly to avoid wasting resources

  • Incompatible chemical wastes should be stored separately to avoid potential danger of chemical reactions

  • Do not dispose of chemical wastes improperly

  • Do not dispose of waste contaminated with chemical or lubricating oil as ordinary waste

  • Do not dispose of organic solvents improperly
