  • Build suitable drainage systems in the workshop to avoid flooding of wastewater

  • Set up wastewater intercepting facilities (such as kerb or collection channels) around workshops to avoid egress wastewater

  • Apply to the Environmental Protection Department for wastewater discharge licences

  • Discharge only treated wastewater to foul drains - Conserve water and reuse if possible to avoid wasting resources

  • Use buckets to carry water and towels to wash cars

  • Control the use of cleansing agents and similar chemicals to minimize discharge of pollutants

  • Do not allow the overflow of wastewater

  • Do not discharge untreated wastewater into foul drains

  • Do not discharge wastewater into storm drain, harbour, river and streams

  • Do not wastewater resource - Do not allow water to run continuously from taps and sprays

Cleansing mechanical parts of vehicle engines

  • Use rags and suitable solvent to cleanse mechanical parts

  • Do not use water to remove directly oil stains from mechanical parts
