  • Enquire the developer, architect and management company for newer buildings the known/likely presence of ACMs
  • Follow the asbestos management plan to maintain all remaining ACMs
  • Employ registered asbestos contractor for any asbestos removal

  • Close off and evacuate the affected area
  • Spray water to suppress dust emission

Precautionary measures for asbestos removal

Before Work

  • Post notice and/or send notifications to residents
  • Actively communicate with contractor to agree on the best transportation route and storage area for removed waste, cleanup areas, workers and equipment
  • Move away all portable furniture and wares in the vicinity of the works area
  • Cover up/seal all un-movable fixtures with plastic sheets

During Work

  • Use water to conduct frequent clean up in the vicinity
  • Avoid using duster or fan
  • Concerned workers should wear face mask and gloves
