Air
Activities
Refuse Collection Activities at Refuse Room
Problem
Decomposition malodour
Relevant Env. Control Under the Air Pollution Control Ordinance, Cap. 311, person causing the air nuisance requires the adoption of air pollution abatement measures.
Practical Solutions

dot.gif Clean the refuse bin, refuse room and station daily
dot.gif Install the exhaust outlet of refuse station in a dispersive area and orientate away from air sensitive receptors, including nearby residents and passers-by

Use air pollution control equipment, such as air scrubber, filter, ozone, masking or biological agents

Activities
Operation of Refuse Chute/ARCS
Problem
Decomposition malodour
Relevant Env. Control Under the Air Pollution Control Ordinance, Cap. 311, person causing the air nuisance requires the adoption of air pollution abatement measures.
Practical Solutions

Activities
Refuse Collection Activities at Common Areas
Problem
Refuse malodour
Relevant Env. Control Under the Air Pollution Control Ordinance, Cap. 311, person causing the air nuisance requires the adoption of air pollution abatement measures.
Practical Solutions

Clean and disinfect all common/public areas, such as passenger lift and lobby immediately after being used for the conveyance or temporary storage of refuse
All areas affected by refuse collection and handling activities must be immediately cleaned afterwards.
