Exhibition and Workshop on Environmentally Friendly Restaurants organized by the Hong Kong Airport Authority
Business Facilitation Office of the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) was invited by the Hong Kong Airport Authority to participate in the Exhibition and Workshop on Environmentally Friendly Restaurants held at the Regal Airport Hotel on 1 September 2005.
Guest speakers were invited in the Workshop to share practical and effective knowledge and measures on environmental protection with the restaurants and food suppliers in the airport
During the event, EPD had fruitful exchanges of view with trade practitioners. In addition, EPD introduced to the trade the latest technologies and developments in pollution control measures and water saving devices. EPD also briefed the trade on the roadmap of its Restaurant Partnership Programme and its efforts (such as compliance assistance and support for the trade, the setting up of an electronic information platform and communication channels) in helping the trade to improve their environmental performance and moving towards green restaurant.
Apart from the workshop, the organizer also invited 13 contactors/suppliers of pollution control equipment to set up booths to exhibit their innovative environmental technologies.
