Professional Certificate Course in Chinese Restaurant Management

Business Facilitation Office of the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) was invited by the Department of Hotel, Service and Tourism Studies of the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Chai Wan) to give a talk to the participants of their Professional Diploma Course in Chinese Restaurant Management on 15 January 2007. The topic of the talk was "Smart Green Restaurant – Environmental Strategies of Restaurant Trade". The participants were briefed on environmental legislations, related green management measures and latest pollution control technologies. Dr. Sam Tsang, Senior Environmental Protection Officer of EPD, also made use of this activity to improve mutual understanding with trade partitioners, with a view to foster further communication and co-operation, in order to encourage the trade to incorporate green elements into their daily operations and contribute to the betterment of the enviornment.
