Our Company shares the worldwide concern towards improvement of the environment. We participate and contribute our efforts in the improvement of the environment in all aspects of our business activities. To achieve this, we have established an Integrated Management System that incorporates the Environmental Management system. Through the implementation of the Environmental Management System, we have achieved the ISO 14001 requirements and was awarded the certificate in 30 May 2002.
We are also aware that there are increasing pressures from the community and the general public in the improvement of the environment in Hong Kong, in particular, to raise the standard of environmental protection in the construction industry. We understand that the Hong Kong SAR Government, in response to these pressure, will implement measures to encourage contractors bidding for Government projects to obtain the ISO 14001 certificate. We fully support this initiative.
Through the systematic implementation of the Environmental Management System we enjoy the benefits of improvement our standard of environmental protection which leads to:
- Reduction in contravention of environmental protection legislation which iun turn protected the reputation of the Company as well as reduced costs.
- Saving costs through recycling of materials in our operations.
- Encouraging staffs to put forward innovative environmental friendly operational method / ideas that will enhance our competitiveness.
- Raising the status of the Company within the construction industry as the leading organization that pioneered the implementation of Environmental Management system and hence, increasing business opportunities.
