Introduction
Wan Kee Trading Ltd specialises in handling, dismantling and recycling used and obsolete electronic equipments and computer components on a large scale. In 2005, Wan Kee Trading Ltd set up a 1,500 square metre recycling facility in Ping Che, which can handle over 1,000 tons of electronic equipment on a monthly basis. At present, we are handling over 300 tons of electronic equipments and this figure is constantly increasing.
Reasons for the Implementation of ISO14001
Evolution of technology has shortened the life cycle for electronic equipments and computer components posing challenges related to their disposal. This has caused an increased level of chemical waste being released into the environment. Adopting ISO14001 ensures that our operations meet environmental standards and legal regulations in Hong Kong.

Obtaining ISO14001 provides the company with various positive externalities, including the effective use of resources, the minimisation of waste, the reduction of operational costs, which in turn, creates awareness and provides our stakeholders with the reassurance that our operations undertaken will cause no harm to the environment.
Current Situation and Future Plans
We are setting ourselves environmental targets and objectives to conserve resources effectively within our operations. In addition, we will continue to seek for environmental solutions in the future to counteract the harm caused by the increase of used and obsolete electronic equipments and computer components.
