Kam Tin River : Wong Chuk Yuen Section

The streamcourse at Wong Chuk Yuen receives discharge from 1 pig farm and 1 chicken farm. According to the Livestock Keeping Licences issued by Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, these farms can rear about 1,600 pigs and 36,000 chickens.

Since 2001, there was 1 conviction against the farms in this river section under the Waste Disposal Ordinance and the Waste Disposal (Livestock Waste) Regulations. In the Year 2006, 1 public complaint was received and 12 inspections were conducted to these farms.
