To celebrate the 77th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China and to commemorate the major historical moment of the 90th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army Long March, the Environmental Protection Department, together with the Education Bureau and the Hong Kong Tai Kung Wen Wei Media Group, held the "Experiencing the Enchanting China" Special Event on 3 October, 2026 at the Hong Kong Jockey Club Auditorium of the Hong Kong Palace Museum.
Under the spiritual theme of the "Green Long March of the New Era", the Special Event featured the screening of national education thematic videos, guest sharing sessions, a full-house chorusing-along and the writing of "Green Wishes". Through these activities, teachers and students were inspired by the spirit of the historical Red Army Long March and reflected on how they can practise green transition in their daily lives through a low-carbon lifestyle.
