Kong Environmental Impact Assessment Workshop held in Hong

The Canada-Hong
Kong Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Workshop was held
in Hong Kong on June 15 and 16.
A spokesman
for the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) said today
(June 16) that the workshop was aimed at facilitating better
professional exchanges and further development of the EIA
process in Hong Kong and Canada.
Hosted
by Hong Kong, the workshop was one of the key events under
the Canada-Hong Kong Memorandum of Understanding on Environmental
Collaboration.
"A delegation
of Canadian experts shared with the participants their experience
of environmental assessment at the workshop.
"Apart
from EPD officers, a number of EIA experts from professional
institutes and representatives of other government departments
were invited to attend the workshop," the spokesman said.
