Sixty convictions were recorded in June 2026 for breaches of legislation enforced by the Environmental Protection Department.
Six of the convictions were under the Air Pollution Control Ordinance, 27 were under the Noise Control Ordinance, 10 were under the Public Cleansing and Prevention of Nuisances Regulation, four were under the Product Eco-responsibility Ordinance, 12 were under the Waste Disposal Ordinance and one was under the Water Pollution Control Ordinance.
A company was fined $20,000, which was the heaviest fine in June for contravening the provisions of a licence.
