Public sewerage for Tuen Mun

The Environmental Protection Department published in the Government Gazette today (Friday) a plan to construct a public sewerage system in Tuen Mun to serve a housing development site of the Housing Department in the area.

The works, which will be carried out in Area 56 in Tuen Mun by the Civil Engineering Department, are scheduled to start in January 1999 and will take about two years to complete.

Details of the plan, in both English and Chinese, have been posted on the notice boards near the site of the proposed sewerage works for public inspection.

Any person who wishes to raise objection to the above proposal is required to send his submission in writing to the Director of Environmental Protection on or before June 16, 1998.
