6.3 Air Planning Advice Summary

The maxim, "Prevention is better than cure", holds true in air quality management. The Environmental Protection Department's main objective in air planning activities is to pre-empt air quality problems and improve Hong Kong's air quality to protect the health and well-being of the community. This is achieved mainly by providing professional advice in the strategic, land use and transportation planning processes.
