"As part of our effort to promote community relation, EPD is now organizing a "Free Vehicle Emission Testing Day" in collaboration with the Environment and Hygiene Committee of Kowloon City District Council. The function will take place from 10am to 4pm on 14 July 2002 at 1/F of Kai Tai Government Building, Passenger Drop-off area (Departure Hall of the ex-Kai Tak Airport). Admission is free. The aims of the function are to promote the environmental awareness of vehicle drivers, to encourage better and proper maintenance of vehicles and thus help improving the air quality of the city. The testing is designed for petrol, diesel and Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) vehicles. Taxis, Public Light Buses, goods vehicles, vans and private cars are all welcome.
