Along with an increased number of hikers and local visitors in the countryside, outlying islands and beaches, the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) is collaborating with the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) to promote “Leave No Trace at Mountain and Sea” and hiking etiquette to the public. A social media challenge has been launched to spread the key messages of “take your litter home” and “reduce waste at source”. Please come and take the Challenge!
We have invited an environmental activist “Sheep Poo” to produce “Countryside Etiquette Trilogy” four-frame comics (in Chinese only) for us to learn about the green hiking etiquettes. Let’s download and share!

Guided Hiking Tours
TWO guided Hiking Tours are organised for public to learn about “Hiking Etiquette” with tutor and special guests during the journey. A half-hour coastal cleanup activity is also included to let everyone know how we can protect the environment and keep the shorelines clean while enjoying the beautiful scenes.

Wood Sculpture Design Competition
To strengthen the promotion of nature conservation and hiking etiquette, we would like to invite the general public to participate in “LOVE•NATURE” Wood Sculpture Design Competition with details HERE.
A wood sculpture may be produced based on the Champion entry with the use of local reclaimed wood. The wood sculpture will be placed in Country Park or other suitable place to promote “Leave No Trace at Mountain and Sea”!“LOVE•NATURE” Wood Sculpture Design Competition had been completed successfully and the winners are as follows:

1st Runner-up: HO KA CHUN
2nd Runner-up: YAN CHAK FUNG
All winners had been notified individually for the prize collection arrangement.
