Long West District
In 2006, EPD conducted 803 inspections, which includes 717 routine inspections, 18 ambush operations and 68 complaint visits to the 168 livestock farms (85 pig farms and 83 poultry farms) in Yuen Long West District. A total of 66 complaints were received and 5 livestock farms were prosecuted and convicted for making illegal discharges in 2006.
