Organic Planting Competition for Primary and Secondary School Students in 2002
Cherry Tomato Contest
To enhance students' understanding of organic planting, awareness among teaching staff and students by practising organic planting, Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC), Environmental Protection Department (EPD) and Hong Kong Trees Conservation Association jointly organized "Cherry Tomato Planting Competition". This Competition was successfully held and completed on 21st April 2003 on Band Stand at Victoria Park.

Adjudicators for the competition included the chairman of the Panel on Environmental Affairs of the Legislative Council, Choy So-yuk; the chairman of the Environmental Campaign Committee, Ronnie Wong; a renowned artist, Yim Yee-king "Ah Chung"; the deputy chairman of Hong Kong Trees Conservation Association, Prof. Hui Lam-hing; Manager of Education of Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden, Idy Wong; Manager of AEON JUSCO Education and Environment Fund, Julie Lam; Community Service Director of Rotary Club of Kowloon Golden Mile, Diana Chou; and Head of the Community Relations Unit of the Environmental Protection Department, Mabel Mak. The adjudicators had selected the winners for "Cherry Tomato Planting Award" and "Creative Pot Design Award".
