2007 WEEE Recycling Days Results

This year, the "WEEE Recycling Days" is continued to receive good support from the public. 350 housing estates and all the 18 district councils have participated in the event,providing a total of 434 collection centres. The result is very encouraging: 190 tonnes of used computers and electrical appliances were collected, an increase of 90% over that of last year.

Television sets, Hi-fi, computers, printers and monitors are the most popular items of the collection. To show our appreciation, a certificate will be awarded to the estate, public collection point and district that collect the greatest quantity of WEEE items in terms of weight.
