Sewerage works at Braemar Hill gazetted

The Chief Executive in Council has authorised the construction of sewers along the existing Braemar Hill Road and the proposed extended section of the road.

Details of the project were published in the Government Gazette on March 9 and 16, 2001 while the approval of the project was gazetted today (March 28).

A spokesman for the Environmental Protection Department said: "The sewerage system is essential to serve the proposed school development there."

The works are expected to commence in September 2002 and will take approximately 30 months to complete.

"The works under this sewerage scheme will be carried out in conjunction with the road scheme,'Extension of Braemar Hill Road, North Point', which has also been approved by the Chief Executive in Council.

"On completion of the sewerage scheme, there will be a sewer serving the proposed school development," the spokesman added.
