DEP expresses condolence over supervisor's death
The Director of Environmental Protection, Ms Anissa Wong, said today (November 2) that she was saddened to hear the death of a site supervisor who was knocked down by a yard tractor inside the Sha Tin Refuse Transfer Station (STTS) in On Hing Lane this morning.
Describing the incident as unfortunate, Ms Wong sent her deepest condolence to the deceased's family.
The deceased was the site supervisor employed by the contractor to oversee the STTS facility. He was knocked down by the yard tractor in the open area inside the facility and was later certified dead at the scene.
The Environmental Protection Department is concerned about the accident and Police are now investigating the case.
