Structure of an EIA Report

The EIA Report is a document that assists:

  • the proponent to plan and design;
  • the authority to decide; and
  • the public to understand.

An EIA report is typically consist of the following key elements:

  1. Baseline Study or Survey
  2. Impact Prediction
  3. Impact Evaluation
  4. Mitigation Measures
  5. Residual Impacts

In the following section, you will learn to understand more about the technical aspects of the EIA reports. In addition, you will learn about the techniques used to identify, predict and evaluate different types of impacts.
