The applicant shall explore ways to avoid carrying out the construction works at restricted hours. If the applicant still wants to apply for a CNP, the applicant shall identify the practicable working hours that cause the least noise nuisance and provide justifications according to "Checklist to Explore the Feasibility of Daytime Roadwork". The applicant shall provide document(s) (such as comment from TD or Police, results of trial lane(s) closure, or minutes of TMLG meeting) to justify that the construction work cannot be carried out during the non-restricted hours and can only be carried out during the proposed working hours. |

A CNP would not be issued if the Authority has the reason to believe that the PME proposed in the application would be used in connection with prescribed construction work (PCW). Please click here for Designated Areas under the Noise Control Ordinance and click here for examples of PCW related PME. The applicant shall indicate the intended use of such PME items or whether their uses are related to PCW in item E.2 of the application form. |

A memo / letter from relevant department or utility company to justify why all alternatives of daytime work are not feasible. |
